Logo design, App Splash screens & explainer video

Guested - Wedding Guest Logistics App
Overview

The objective for this project was to create a logo, opening screens and handle overall design needs for the app 'Guested' by Wedding Wishlist.

For the Guested app, which focuses on hospitality and travel arrangements for wedding guests, I designed a logo that cleverly incorporates a play on the app's name. I transformed the letter "G" into a bed, symbolizing a guest sleeping comfortably. This visual metaphor not only reinforces the app's core concept but also adds a friendly, welcoming touch to the brand identity, making it instantly recognizable and relevant to its target audience.

Colors

The color theory behind the Guested app logo project is grounded in a strategic use of vibrant and energetic hues that convey the app’s dynamic nature and welcoming atmosphere. The primary colors are a bold combination of beiges, browns and bright greens, which work together to create a sense of trust, reliability, and excitement. Beige, often associated with stability and comfort, serves as the foundation, instilling confidence in the user. The green accents, on the other hand, bring a sense of new experiences, friendliness, and enthusiasm, making the app approachable and lively. This complementary color scheme not only grabs attention but also balances the coolness of green with the warmth of beige, reflecting the app's ability to offer a secure and engaging experience. The use of these colors throughout the logo and branding elements ensures a cohesive visual identity that resonates with the app's target audience, making Guested both memorable and inviting.

Explainer video for app

I made the below video using Adobe Aftereffects. I built the individual screens and reusable elements out on Adobe Illustrator and then recorded audio clips of my own voice and cleaned those recordings up using Adobe Audition and Aftereffects. I added royalty free music to carry the video and add a rhythmic tempo to the changing screens.
